    JAZZ IN THE GARDENS ANNOUNCES UPTOWN MAGAZINE AS PRESENTING SPONSOR

    MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – November 13, 2012 – Miami Gardens’ 8th annual two-day Jazz in the Gardens music festival at Sun Life Stadium is proud to announce as the festival host, nationally syndicated radio personality, Michael Baisden.

    West Palm Beach, FL – December 7, 2012 – The City of Miami Gardens and AEG Live announced today that UPTOWN Magazine will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2013 & 2014 Jazz in the Gardens music festivals. UPTOWN, the industry leader in reaching affluent urban consumers, will receive a dominant marketing and promotional presence in association with the festival's digital, social and experiential media assets. Additionally, UPTOWN Magazine will conduct a series of unique consumer promotions driving awareness of the overall festival while delivering memorable experiences for readers nationwide. Last year's festival drew record breaking attendance and yielded the highest grossing shows in the seven year history of the event. Last year's Jazz in the Gardens featured stellar headliners Mary J Blige, Ramsey Lewis, Jill Scott, Kenny G, Patti LaBelle, KEM, Doug E Fresh, Ledisi, Kevin Eubanks, and more.


    This year's event features Charlie Wilson, New Edition, Earth Wind & Fire, Najee, Rachelle Ferrell, Neyo, Monica, Mary Mary, plus more.

    MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.November 13, 2012 – Miami Gardens’ 8th annual two-day Jazz in the Gardens music festival at Sun Life Stadium is proud to announce as the festival host, nationally syndicated radio personality, Michael Baisden.

    Michael Baisden is undeniably one of the most influential and engaging personalities in radio history. His meteoric rise to No. 1 is redefining radio with the numbers to back it up. The show is nationally syndicated and is heard in over 78 markets nationwide with over eight million loyal listeners daily. His career began when he took a leap of faith to leave his job driving trains in Chicago to self-publish his book and began touring the country selling books out of the trunk of his car. Baisden, who now has four best-selling books to his credit, has hosted two national television shows, and has recently produced three feature films.

    March 16 & 17, 2013, at SunLife Stadium, located at 2269 Dan Marino Boulevard, in the heart of Miami Gardens.


    This is the second year that the City has partnered with AEG Live to produce and showcase the Annual Jazz in the Gardens as a premiere festival in the country. The current and recent concert tour roster includes artists such as Taylor Swift, The Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Justin Bieber to name a few.     Women's Impact Seminar & Luncheon

    In honor of Women's History Month and in conjunction with the 8th annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival, the City of Miami Gardens will host the 2013 WOMEN'S IMPACT CONFERENCE & LUNCHEON.  Created in 2010, by Mayor Shirley Gibson, this event encourages women to live centered and complete lives by exploring new horizons, taking essential time for self-discovery and pursuing a joyful life full of endless possibilities.  The anticipated event will once again take place at Shula's Hotel & Golf Club in Miami Lakes.

    The 2013 Women's Impact Conference & Luncheon will empower women of all races, creeds and cultures to pursue goals, discover & maintain balance while at the same time, achieve success. Attendees will be entertained and engaged as renowned experts and noted celebrities deliver powerful tips, tools and information about living healthy, spiritual and balanced lives that will benefit them personally and professionally.  Former panelists include Stedman Graham (New York Times best-selling author, educator and businessman);Hill Harper (author and actor); Tracey Wilson Mourning (founder and CEO of Honey Shine Mentoring Program and creator of Honey Child Skin Products);
