Jazz in the gardens began in a parking lot with about 1,000 people and today over 73,000 people attend JITG enjoying an unbelievable music lineup and a wide variety of diverse foods and unique merchandise from all around the world. The Artists who have performed in previous years include Erykah Badu, Toni Braxton, Maxwell, R. Kelly Mary J. Blige, Run D.M.C, John Legend, Robin Thicke, the late Teena Marie, Wyclef, Fantasia, Kenny βBabyfaceβ Edmonds, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Chaka Khan, Chrisette Michele, Common, Kelly Rowland and so much more legends.
What started off as an immense announcement that Usher would be headlining Sunday nights Jazz in the Gardens music festival in 2016 continued to spiral into a lineup of GRAMMY award winning and elite entertainers. On Saturday, March 18, 2016- Sunday, March 20, 2016 the 11th annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival will be held at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
The last year Jazz the Gardens surpassed tickets sales and sold out and the same if not more is expected this year. Back for the second year, comedian and nationally syndicated radio personality Rickey Smiley will host the festival. The fierce line up of Aretha Franklin, Janelle Monae, Babyface, Kool And the Gang, Fred Hammond, Brian Culbertson, Average White Band will also include pre-festival events, The Womanβs Impact Conference and amazing food with some extraordinary shopping.
