Back for its 14th year, the Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival has announced yet another stellar lineup for the much-anticipated musical experience hailed which is hailed as the “the adult winter break destination” and brings over 60,000 concert goes from all over the world. On March 9 & 10, 2019, while the rest of the country freezes, attendees will enjoy fun in the South Florida sun, catching up with old friends, making new friends, dancing in the aisles and a party like no other. This year’s lineup includes legendary R&B powerhouse Lionel Richie who festival producers say has been one of the top requested artists from social media, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Teddy Riley & Friends featuring 90’s superstars Blackstreet with Teddy Riley and smooth vocals of Dave Hollister, the always exciting Bobby Brown and human beatbox Doug E. Fresh with special guests the beautifully harmonized En Vogue and R&B favorites Jagged Edge. Rounding out the R&B lineup is the legendary smooth trio The O’Jays, soul-stirring Stephanie Mills, eclectic violinists Black Violin and gospel sensation Tye Tribbett. Back by popular demand, this year’s Jazz in the Gardens Jazz All-Stars will feature the incredibly popular neo-soul songstress Maysa, Grammy-nominated guitarist Chieli Minucci, jazz bass guitarist Gerald Veasley, fusion-oriented keyboardist Lao Tizer, and celebrated saxophonist Nelson Rangell. More artists will be announced soon.
Produced by the City of Miami Gardens, Jazz in the Gardens will also feature the Film, Music, Arts & Culture Conference, the Women’s Impact Luncheon and the official Opening Night Party with no other than The Sugarhill Gang who is sure to bring the house down. Produced by the City of Miami Gardens, the largest black City south of Atlanta, the music festival also boasts exotic food from the Caribbean along with traditional American fare, and a popping merchandise village where shopaholics will enjoy all kinds of exciting items from African garb to artisan curated goods, to health and beauty offerings to eclectic fashion accessories.
