South Florida’s Own Deep-Fried Funk Band and Bigg D & Da Band to Perform at 15th Annual Jazz in the Gardens Festival

The Jazz in the Gardens (JITG) music festival is special for so many reasons, but their dedication to providing local artists a platform to shine makes the festival even more unique. And this year will be no different as they welcome popular local talents, The Deep Fried Funk Band and Bigg D & Da Band.

These talented musicians will grace the stage at the nearly sold out festival on March 12th & 13th, 2022, at Hard Rock Stadium located at 347 Don Shula Dr., Miami Gardens, Fla.

These incredible local artists will join the JITG lineup that includes Mary J. Blige, H.E.R, Rick Ross, The Isley Brothers, SWV, The Roots with special guest T-Pain, Stokely, Johnathan McReynolds, Mike Phillips and Mark Allen Felton. Syndicated radio host and comedian Rickey Smiley will return as the festival host.

Miami-based super producer Bigg D will take the stage on Saturday March 12, 2022. This chart-topping artist’s reputation continues to grow as a producer and songwriter of major hit records and will perform as Bigg D & Da Band at the festival.  Their time on the JITG stage will no doubt have the crowd on their feet and dancing in the aisles.

Performing on Day 2 of JITG, Sunday March 13, 2022, is Deep Fried Funk, South Florida’s own powerful, high energy R&B band that boasts a wide popularity in the region. Their performances are characterized by a professional sound, performing an extensive musical repertoire and creating unstoppable grooves that always get their audiences dancing.

“Jazz in the Gardens is not only a spectacular music festival, but it’s also a celebration of our culture where we create all types of opportunities for our local community to get involved,” said City of Miami Gardens Mayor Rodney Harris.

“We are fortunate to have world-renowned artists perform at the event, but it’s also important to get our local artists engaged. We are looking forward to the performances of our local artists, and we’re excited to share the creativity and talents of these individuals from our community.”
