On March 7, the City of Miami Gardens will present the 3<sup>rd&nbsp;<\/sup>Annual Film, Music, Art &amp; Culture Conference (FMAC) and the 3<sup>rd&nbsp;<\/sup>Annual Poetry in the Gardens national poetry contest. Both of those events will take place on Thursday March 7, 2019 and the 8<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>Annual Women\u2019s Impact Luncheon, in honor of women\u2019s history month, will happen on Friday March 8, 2019&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 3<sup>rd\u00a0<\/sup>Annual Film, Music, Art &amp; Culture Conference (FMAC), happening Thursday March 7th at 11AM \u2013 4:30PM, will open the JITG festival weekend by hosting an exciting one-day multi-genre experience that will educate and showcase diverse art forms. The panel of experts include filmmaker Peter Bailey, Legendary R&amp;B diva Betty Wright, muralist Addonis Parker and Kim Tignor\u2019s Creative Control, who will be discussing the \u201cbusiness of entertainment.\u201d The FMAC will be held at the FIU Kovens Center- 3000 NE 151st St, North Miami, FL 33181.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the evening of March 7, 8PM, the 3rd Annual Poetry in the Gardens will present its national poetry contest featuring the best in spoken word across the nation. Artists are competing for the grand prize of $10,000 for 1st place, $5000 for 2<sup>nd\u00a0<\/sup>place, and $1500 for 3<sup>rd\u00a0<\/sup>place. Poetry finals will be held at it\u2019s new venue\u2013 Starbucks 19401 NW 27<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, March 8, 2019 from 11AM \u2013 2PM for the 8<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>year in a row, the annual favorite Women\u2019s Impact Luncheon will honor Women\u2019s History Month by curating an inspiring and exciting experience that will activate every woman in attendance. Special guests include Jazz in the Gardens performer, the illustrious Stephanie Mills, author and entrepreneur Arian Simone, Rashan Ali, co- host of Sister Circle on TV One, and Kristen Campbell, attorney and NFL Agent. The Women\u2019s Impact Luncheon will be held at the FIU Kovens Center- 3000 NE 151st St, North Miami, FL, 33181.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that evening on March 8<sup>th<\/sup>, the annual JITG Opening Night party will take place with special guests\u2014Kool and the Gang. The kick off festivities will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in the Hyundai Club. The party begins at 8pm and will go one until 1am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0before the big JITG show begins, take a cultural tour of some of Miami\u2019s historic Black neighborhoods with the Pre-show Heritage tour and Tasting experience. The 3 hour tour will showcase the rich culture, history and music of Historic Overtown, Little Haiti, and Liberty City.
