MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This weekend, you\u2019re going to want to put on your dancing shoes for the 16th annual Jazz in the Gardens concert.<\/p>\n

The internationally acclaimed concert is bringing more than just jazz to Miami Gardens and Local 10\u2032s Alexis Frazier spoke with a couple of the artists who are set to hit the stage.<\/p>\n

Previous festivals have drawn in more than 70,000 people, and this year is going to be epic with performers like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Ari Lennox, just to name of few.<\/p>\n

But the ladies of soul aren\u2019t the only ones running the show.<\/p>\n

Grammy-award winning artist Sean Paul will also take center stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have some classic, iconic songs. What can we expect from you this weekend?\u201d Frazier asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to do the hits and it\u2019s always a good vibe to get into these big crowds, especially when you\u2019ve been away for a minute,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to do a couple of new songs. It\u2019s going to be good vibe. My dancers (will be) there. It\u2019s going to be a party for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jazz in the Gardens is also showing love to local artists.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a celebration for us. It\u2019s for us, by us,\u201d urban-rock soul funk vocalist April Raquel said.<\/p>\n

Raquel is returning to the Jazz in the Gardens stage to help get you on your feet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking to serve energy. I\u2019m doing some original tunes, r&b and hip-hop favorites, and funk and r&b music. We\u2019re having a soulful, good time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

You can catch Raquel on Saturday around 3 p.m. and Sean Paul is performing on Sunday.<\/p>\n
